M. Thibodeaux's Final Project

Project Overview

Photography has always been an interest, and I'm always looking to increase my knowledge. This project afforded me an opportunity to not only learn about Interactive Web Page Scripting, but also more about camera technology.

Whenever possible, I try to find my color inspiration in nature and, using a background image for a basis, I upload the image to Adobe Color CC to extract the colors. The images I chose, with the exception of the cameras themsleves, are all my original work. I chose to share some dramatic sunrises and some action shots of my work time in the Navy. The images all have something to offer of interest, particularly the one with the propellers turing, but look like they are standing still yet are warped. I chose a clean font for the content and a fun font for the logo name that I felt fit with the term 'Connoisseur.'

Cameras

Since the invention of digital photography, more people have been able to capture images in almost any circumstance without necessary knowledge of classic photographic techniques. Modern digital cameras range from basic to very high tech, and even the cameras in phones are becoming very advanced.

Early Photography

The first permanent photgraph ever taken in recorded history happend in 1826. Joseph Nicéphore Niépce, a Frenchman, manufactured a nature landscape using a light-sensitive surface. Moving forward, the technology was worked on to improve photography techniques, specifically in the areas of speed, resolution, and pernanence (not fading).

Photography and Art

Early philosophyy of photography was that it was just capturing a moment and therefore not art. The opposite is now the current idea of photography, the process, and the subject of a photographic image very much falls into the definition of artistry.
