Over 4000 years ago, the continents of Asia and North America were connected via The Bering Straits, a narrow land-bridge that separated the Bering Sea from the Chukchi Sea. The Inuit, more commonly known as Eskimo, emigrated across that land-bridge from Siberia. The conditions were harsh, barren, and rigorous. The Inuit and their dogs lives were, and still are, completely interconnected.

Malamutes are large, strong, and powerful, built more for hauling heavy loads rather than racing. They are very friendly, happy dogs that are great with families but are not meant for city life with tiny apartments, or people that don't have any prior experience with this breed.
